Granulomatous Peritonitis and Postcholecystectomy Syndrome Caused by starch glove powder



Abstract
This report is a clinical review of experience with 2 cases of granulomatous Peritonitis Caused by using of starch glove powder,
1. Starch granulomatous peritonitis caused by starch deposites by surgeon¢¥s gloves resulted in reoperation on 2 patients.
2. We have adaptes the technique of wiping the gloved hands with a wet towel to remove the powder, or sterile water is poured over the gloved hands from a bottle. the latter is more practical, as, in the emergency room.
3. But it may be assumed that even with continuing care to remove starch from the gloves, granulomatous starch peritonitis will occasionally occur as long as starch is used or surgical gloves.
